Name: Grover Tadlock
Title: Managing Editor
Email Address: grover.tadlock@wsaz.com

After graduating from Marshall University with a degree in broadcast journalism, I was able to land my first job in news right here in the Tri-state. I started my career in television as a part-time photographer which to me was the most exciting job in the whole world! I was actually being paid to meet people, travel to new places and see amazing events take place right before my eyes.

Currently I work out of our Huntington studio as the Managing Editor The most profound lesson I have learned in my career in news is that we are humans first and journalists second. When we embrace this line of thinking we become better journalists because we understand the human side of each story and the impact it has on people. We connect to and remember stories because how they impact us and how they make us feel.

To set the record straight; yes, Grover is my real name. It was one of those family names which was handed down over the generations. Grover means, "one who loves the outdoors" which seems to fit perfectly since I now live in West Virginia, an outdoor paradise. I love to hike the mountains, kayak the rivers and enjoy the people of this entire region.
