Courtney joined the WSAZ NewsChannel 3 team in September 1994 as a news intern. She quickly moved into a full time producing role while also attending college full time. She's done it all, from weekends, to early mornings, to her current position as the 6 p.m. producer.

Courtney was born and raised in Beckley, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Marshall University, where she was a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, the broadcasting honorary Alpha Epsilon Rho and the Sigma Sigma Sigma social sorority. She is now an active member of the Junior League of Huntington.

When not spending time with her eight-year-old son, Andrew, she enjoys cheering on the Thundering Herd in football and basketball. She also likes reading, going to the movies, shopping, snow and water skiing, golf and tennis.
