Jessica Ralston is an Emmy award-winning Anchor\Reporter and Producer for WSAZ and My Z. She joined the WSAZ Charleston news team in December of 2003.
In 2006, Jessica was named Solo-Anchor and Executive Producer of the brand new “my Z Ten O’Clock News”. It has twice been named "Best PM Newscast” by the West Virginia Broadcaster’s Association.
Jessica also co-anchors WSAZ’s 5:30 Edition, 6pm and 11pm nightly newscasts with Tim Irr.
Jessica got her start in television news at WFMJ-TV 21 in Youngstown, Ohio. She spent 3 years at WFMJ before moving to WDTV in Clarksburg, WV in 2001.
At WDTV, Jessica worked as an Anchor\Reporter and Producer for the morning and evening newscasts.
Jessica has been honored by the Associated Press and West Virginia Broadcaster’s Association dozens of times. She’s received several consecutive wins as “Best Reporter” “Best Enterprise Reporter” “Best Anchor” "Best Breaking News Coverage" and “Broadcast Journalist of the Year.”
She has also been honored with several Emmy awards for her work as an Anchor\Reporter, in the studio and "live" in the field.
During her time in the Mountain State, Jessica's served as a TV Host for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, the Children's Miracle Network Telethon, Miss WV Scholarship Pageant and the Gazette-Daily Mail Regional Spelling Bee.
Jessica went to high school and college in Youngstown, Ohio but
her mother's side of the family lives in Orlando.
Her father's side lives in Superior, Wisconsin.
Jessica loves Charleston and spends time volunteering for various charities, running, working out in the gym, hanging out with friends and her miniature dachshunds Ginger and Buster.
