Jessica Ralston is an award-winning Anchor\Reporter and Producer for WSAZ and My Z. She joined the Charleston news team back in December of 2003.

In 2006, Jessica was named Solo-Anchor and Executive Producer of the brand new “My Z Ten O’clock News”. It was recently named “West Virginia’s Best PM Newscast” by the West Virginia Broadcaster’s Association. Jessica also co-anchors WSAZ’s 11pm nightly newscast “Newschannel 3 Tonight” with Tim Irr.

Jessica got her start in television news at WFMJ-TV 21 in Youngstown, Ohio. She spent 3 years at WFMJ producing newscasts and special reports before moving to Clarksburg, WV in 2001. At WDTV, Jessica worked as an Anchor\Reporter and Producer for the morning and evening newscasts.

Jessica has been honored by the Associated Press and West Virginia Broadcaster’s Association a record 15 times. She’s received several consecutive wins as “Best Reporter” “Best Enterprise Reporter” “Best Anchor” and “Broadcast Journalist of the Year.”

In 2006, WSAZ named Jessica “Talent of the Year”. She was also nominated as one of West Virginia’s “Women of Merit” by the General Federation of Women’s Club.

When Jessica’s not busy reporting, anchoring or producing newscasts for WSAZ\MY Z, she’s on the computer, keeping her “My Z” blog up to date. In 2008, Jessica’s blog not only caught on with viewers, it caught the attention of a national TV show. “Inside Edition” flew a crew to Charleston to do a feature story about Jessica.

During her time in the Mountain State, Jessica's served as a TV Host for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, the Children's Miracle Network Telethon, Miss WV Scholarship Pageant and the Gazette-Daily Mail Regional Spelling Bee.

She has family in two very different parts of the country. Jessica’s mother, brother and the rest of her mom’s side of the family live in Florida. Jessica’s “claim to fame” from living in Orlando comes from her days working at Disney World where she performed as “Cinderella.”

Her father and his side of the family live in Superior, WI. Jessica’s claim to fame from spending summers in Wisconsin with her dad comes from catching an 8 pound Walleye on Lake Superior.

Now with her “fishing days” and “princess performances” long gone, Jessica spends time running, hanging out with friends and her miniature dachshund Ginger, and she loves to travel.
