Carrie Jones joined the WSAZ news team in July of 2008 as Producer of Charleston’s 11 p.m. newscast and a weekend Reporter.

She was born and raised in South Charleston and is happy to be reporting the news in her hometown.

Carrie graduated from West Virginia University’s Pearly Isaac Reed School of Journalism with a degree in Broadcast News. And of course, she cheers on the Mountaineer football team when she’s lucky enough to make it to Morgantown on game day.

She spent three years working at WDTV in Clarksburg. She did everything from reporting to anchoring and producing the morning newscast.

In her spare time, Carrie enjoys checking out a good book from the library, cooking and spending quality time with her family . She’s also a big fan of the latest video game craze “Rock Band.” Carrie is currently trying to master the guitar and drums, but she’ll leave the singing to those who can actually carry a tune!
