Tony Cavalier is the Chief Meteorologist at WSAZ.
Born and raised in the Italian market section of Philadelphia, Tony Cavalier brings a unique spice to the local weather scene. His academic credentials are impeccable earning a B.S. in Physics at Drexel U in Philly and a Master of Science at Penn State in meteorology.
For 16 years Tony has battled the fickle weather patterns that affect Appalachia to a draw. "Sometimes I nail it, other times I get nailed... but always I am fascinated with the art and science of weather prediction... ALWAYS... that's why what I say is worth watching every night. There is no regurgitation!"
Tony loves traveling the 3 state region and at last count had more than 1,000 appearances to confirm his travel lust. "From county fairs to parades, I love meeting people and fortunately, people enjoy meeting me!"
As for Tony's secret ambition...'I love serving people...and feel I can make a difference in politics. I can see my autobiography now...the title 'From WeatherMan to CongressMan', Tony says of his dream to be a senator on Capitol Hill.
