Kelly Ann Cicalese is a meteorologist on WSAZ 5:30 Edition and WSAZ News at 10 O'clock on The Tri-State's CW
Kelly Ann joined the WSAZ weather team in December of 2013 as a weekday evening Meteorologist. Prior to this position, she worked as a Meteorologist for KGWN in Cheyenne, WY where she earned the title of “Best Weather Broadcaster” by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters. While in Cheyenne, she gained experience with covering tornado outbreaks, strong winter storms, severe thunderstorms and was involved in around the clock updates during the September 2013 flooding disaster in Colorado.
In 2011, Kelly Ann graduated with honors from Rutgers University, earning a degree in Meteorology. While at Rutgers, she was involved in the university's news program and was a member of the Rutgers Meteorology Club. In addition, she interned with WWOR in Secaucus, NJ (a sister station of Fox-NY).
Born and raised in New Jersey, Kelly Ann has always loved the change of weather with the seasons and became especially intrigued by thunderstorms at a young age. Summer thunderstorms often put a damper on her July birthday parties growing up and as a result, she yearned to have the ability to forecast such events.
Outside of weather, Kelly Ann has always had a passion for dancing. She was involved in River Dancing for 10 years and has performed in various theaters throughout the NYC area including several performances at Carnegie Hall, Broadway and P-N-C Bank Arts Center.
Kelly Ann loves to know her viewers on a personal level. She can often be found at the local movie theater, the gym, or at a local event. Feel free to approach her on the street or chat with her via Facebook.
Most importantly, Kelly Ann is immensely thankful for her loving family and supportive boyfriend. They have played a crucial role in helping her fulfill her dreams.
