Meteorologist Adam Joseph worked for WSAZ for 4 years at the beginning of this century. Adam frequently visited schools and did feature stories on weather. He also was a major part of the First Warning Weather Team with Tony Cavalier. These days, Adam works in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. He sent us this message for his fans here in the Tri-State.

Adam says:
“Two years ago, I landed a job most dream of, yet I was losing the best thing going for me. I called West Virginia home for 5 years and enjoyed every day of it. Struggling to find a job out of college, the mountain state granted me the opportunity of breaking into television weather. Being a meteorologist is a dream I started striving for at the age of five. It surprised me how much I enjoy delivering the weather to you!

Delivering the news/weather, you see one side of the product. I never really thought about sitting on your side, on the couch, the dining room chair, or even the end of a bed. You trust us, we become part of the family without even knowing it. I want to thank you for several wonderful years! I miss the community, the people, and forecasting crazy weather in that part of the country. Today I am still forecasting, but just a little farther north. Philadelphia is a great city with a lot to take in. The weather is just as crazy, the people are just as great, and my schedule is pretty interesting. I forecast for the weekend evening broadcasts, do a segment called "Down At The Shore" every Friday in the summer along with "Adam's Adventures" (this is where I broadcast from the beach and try all water sports. Yeah they pay me for it!), I partake in a weekly web chat about weather called "Ask Adam", and I post video podcasts on our website explaining different weather phenomenons. One assignment even put me on the Regis and Kelly cruise where I broadcasted live from the ship and interview both Regis and Kelly. Every year I broadcast a hit from the Thanksgiving Day parade on ABC for Good Morning America.

It has been an exciting trip these last two years, but you know what? I miss my first home in television and frequently stop down to say hi to old friends. So, one day you may see me having dinner or running in Barboursville Park. Take care of yourself and always remember to enjoy today and everyday. AJ”
