WASHINGTON (NBC) -- Federal Authorities are investigating a national outbreak of E. Coli in packaged raw cookie dough.

Nestle has recalled all of its refrigerated Toll House Cookie Dough products.

The recall, involving 300,000 cases of raw cookie dough, comes after at least 65 reports of people getting E. Coli in 29 states.

The Food and Drug Administration is strongly advising people who have already bought the recalled dough to throw it out and not bake it.

In a statement, Nestle said: "We have been and will continue to cooperate fully with the food and drug administration and the centers for disease control in this investigation."

Meanwhile, investigators are looking into the possibility the contamination occurred in a manufacturing plant because it's so widespread.
