HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- DIRECTV is looking to add about 100 new full-time employees in the Huntington area.
"Let's face it, in this economy, there aren't many jobs," says Erin Hansen, who's a DIRECTV recruiter. "We're hiring full-time, 40 hours a week, with benefits, starting at $10 an hour."
DIRECTV is currently located in the old Hill's Department Store building on 5th Street Hill. That is located just off Exit 8 of Interstate 64
"Our goal is to be not only customer friendly, but employee friendly as well," recruiter Cassidy Gililland says. "We've got a fitness center, cafeteria, game room, Internet lounge -- a lot of awesome amenities for our employees."
Sandra Shears and Steve Caldwell are a couple from Kitts Hill, Ohio, who hope to be hired together.
"It would be a great way to save money," Shears says. "If we want to better things for our lives and the future, this may be the way to do it."
DIRECTV representatives at the Huntington location take inbound calls only that deal with billing, service and troubleshooting.
