HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The anxious dread has now been replaced by the cold steel nozzle of reality.

Wednesday, gas stations around the region punched up their pumps to that magic and maddening number: $4 a gallon for unleaded, regular gasoline.

At the Huntington speedway the cost of gasoline is $3.99.9.

Some say 4 bucks a gallon is enough to make them hang up that gas pump and let their feet replace the wheels.

The big question is how the gas prices will affect the holiday weekend.

Some say they plan to spend the weekend home; not driving.
