RUSSELL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The pain turned into praise at the pump in one town Saturday in more ways than one.
Russell First Baptist Church took 50 cents off every gallon of gas sold at the Clark's Pump and Shop Saturday.
People willing to wait a half hour for gasoline got it for $3.29.
The discounted fill-up came with full service and a window cleaning.
Churchgoers say it's just a way to give people a break while recruiting new members at the same time.
Tina Sparks is one of the church members. "I never thought I could have so much fun pumping gas, cleaning windows and getting to say hello to all the people and the kids." Sparks said.
