Digital Television Questions for the WSAZ Engineering Department
Currently all of the local channels are broadcasting digital channels in the UHF band. UHF Signals are Directional. We suggest reaiming your antenna toward the television transmitting towers for the desired channel reception then re-scan for channels on your converter box. For more information on antennas and which direction you should point your antenna
you should try www.tvfool.com
for your area's specific antenna aiming directions. We generally recommend an outdoor UHF antenna. Here are a few that work well: ChannelMaster 4228-HD, Terrestrial Digital DB8. You can find more information about these antennas at
www.SolidSignal.com
For long distance UHF reception , we recommend the following:
Terrestrial Digital 43XG or Terrestrial Digital 91XG
PLEASE NOTE: For 24 hour help call
1-877-388-5473
or go to
DTV 2009
to apply for a coupon and placed on a waiting list.
Do you have questions about the digital television conversion? Complete this form and ask the WSAZ Engineering Department.
