Saturday May 3rd is officially Lemonade Day in the Mountain State! In the Kanawha to Cabell County area we will have numerous lemonade stands set-up. You can look for them in the following locations:
Mountaineer Montessori in Kanawha County will be hosting ‘Lemonade Day with the Stars’ at Capitol Market from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in St. Albans (Kanawha County) will have kids selling lemonade at their annual rummage sale from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Children from across Putnam County will be competing against each other for the best lemonade stand at the Hurricane Main Street Festival from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Students from George Washington Elementary in Putnam County will be set-up at businesses in Eleanor, Winfield, Hurricane, and Teays Valley from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Playmates Preschool & Child Care Center of Huntington in Cabell County will have a stand at the Guyandotte Elementary School Carnival from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Lemonade Day is a national entrepreneurship program that teaches kids to own and operate their own business - a lemonade stand. We will have stands set-up between April and July...an estimated 3,000 participants in 23 counties from 42 different programs.
