Looking to buy a new TV? One thing's for sure: you'll want to do your own research. That's because a new survey shows electronics store salespeople might not be keeping up with changing technology.
A new survey from J.D Power and Associates found salespeople recommended liquid crystal display TVs over plasma screens about three-fourths of the time. However, more than a third of the salespeople warned customers about images "burning into" plasma screens.
The only problem with that? Burn-in hasn't been a serious issue for several years now. The survey was based on more than 2,000 "mystery shoppers" sent into stores during the last six months.

Consumer Reports suggests Apple should add voice prompts to tell drivers where to go.
Apple has signaled in recent interviews that the GPS technology will evolve with new software, but that could take months, possibly even longer.
