You don't have to fly wired any more, at least on Delta Air Lines. The nation's number three carrier plans to offer broadband wireless Internet access on its entire domestic fleet by the middle of next year. Delta is partnering with airborne communications provider Aircell to install the service on more than 330 aircraft.
Laptops, smartphones and PDAs like Palm Pilots can connect to the onboard wi-fi. You'll pay $9.95 per flight of less than three hours, and $12.95 for longer trips.

Nearly 42 percent of those surveyed say they plan to spend less than they did last year in the coming holiday season.
