Wireless services are giving parents more tools to actually control their teens and "tweens" phone use. The consulting firm Yankee Group says three-fourths of youths between 13 and 17 own cell phones. And their survey showed up to 70 percent of teens would rather text than talk.
So now, some companies are offering parents the means to turn off texting, block numbers and add GPS locator programs so parents can know where their kids are all day -- everyday.

Thousands of people across the country are still waiting to receive their shiny new 3GB apple iPhone. And up until recently you could only buy the phone at an Apple or ATt&T store. Best Buy just announced Wednesday that it will soon sell the iPhone.
Best Buy becomes the first third-party retailer in the U.S. to sell the iPhone. The store will start sales in nearly 1,000 stores on Sept. 7. But don't expect to get a deal. Best Buy will sell the iPhone for the same $199 and $299 price offered by AT&T and Apple. Best Buy already resells Apple's Mac computers and iPod media players, and apparently this relationship helped Best Buy land the iPhone.
