While it's the overwhelming favorite for Internet searches, Google is looking to become your favorite cell phone. The search engine has joined forces with wireless carrier T-Mobile to show off the new Google phone.
The G-1 is the first cell phone running Google's mobile software and resembles Apple's iPhone. It has a large touch-screen, a track ball, and a slide-out keyboard. The G-1 comes loaded with Google applications, including Google's e-mail and maps. It will be available to the public next month. As long as it's on T-Mobile, however, it will not be available in our region.

The future of music could be in the cards and designed for your mobile phone. Four major record labels are releasing albums on micro-sd memory cards. They're calling the format "Slotmusic" because the little chip fits into a slot on mobile phones and multimedia players. The format will be sold in CD-like packages, starting at Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Record labels hope the new format will help them find a way to combat slumping CD sales.

Something called Eye-Fi will change the way you work with your digital photos. Eye-Fi is an SD-memory card -- just like the one that may be in your camera now. Once you take a picture, Eye-Fi allows you to send that picture to your computer wirelessly.
Forget the wires and hooking your camera up to your computer over and over. As long as you have a Wi-Fi connection at home, you’re good to go with Eye-Fi, which works with nearly all digital cameras. The best part is that Eye-Fi is now just $60. As always, make sure you check out the fine print before buying Eye-Fi to make sure it will work with your computer and camera.
