There were a lot of upset gamers out there recently – at least those using Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. That's because Xbox live was down all day Monday through early Tuesday. In case you don't know -- Xbox Live is the online community where gamers can play against other gamers around the world.
Live will be down for a full 24 hours to prepare for the new Xbox experience. The Xbox experience will be a big change to your 360 dashboard with a whole new look. But don't get too excited. The downtime just allows Microsoft to prepare for the upcoming change later this fall.

The Link of the Day is a new Web site that allows users to stream their videos directly from their phone to the web. Check out, for instance, Qik.com. The Web site even allows users to stream videos to friends in Facebook or Twitter, just to name a few sites. The coolest feature of Qik-- those videos you stream go "live" from your phone to the world -- just like a live camcorder to the Web. Users can stream anytime, anywhere just by using their phones.
Qik doesn't work on every phone, so make sure to head to the site to check out before getting your hopes up. Don't forget -- you'll also want to make sure you have a data plan from your cell phone service provider. That's because Qik uses a considerable amount of bandwidth, and that can mean a big jump on your next bill if you don't have a sufficient data plan.
