HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Tired of pulling out your iPhone 3G only to see it is about to die? Well, worry no longer with a new gadget from a trusted name.
The folks at Mophie have done it again with their newest release: the Mophie Juice Pack Air. The device doubles as both a rechargeable external battery and a protective case. It only fits the iPhone 3G.
The Juice Pack Air won't add too much weight to your iPhone, and isn't too incredibly bulky. In fact, Mophie bills the device as the "thinnest 'works with iPhone' battery case on the market."
The newest feature with the Juice Pack Air is the "standby mode," which allows users to control when they want to charge their iPhone battery.
The device has four LED status lights that let you know how much juice is left in the external battery. Another nice feature is when you charge the Juice Pack Air, your iPhone charges at the same time.
The Mophie Juice Pack Air is available now for $79.95 at mophie.com.
Bottom line: So far-- this is my favorite device for charging the iPhone. It does a great job giving an extra boost to your battery, and it protects your phone. It obviously adds some extra size and weight, but the extra battery life makes it worth the buy.

I loved the idea of the Mophie Juice Pack Air, but, was disapointed in the quality of the plastic. The plastice that the case is made from is too brittle and cracks VERY easily. I have no problem with the charging capabilities of the pack, it just needs to be made with a higher quality plastic
