West Virginia American Water Launches Twitter Project
West Virginia American Water has joined Twitter as a part of a social media pilot project.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia American Water has joined Twitter as a part of a social media pilot project.
According to a news release, West Virginia American Water was chosen because of its diverse geographic operating regions and the significant amount of community and educational outreach the company supports.
The water company will "tweet" information about the company's initiatives, educational and community involvement projects and water service issues such as boil water advisories and water main breaks.
“We at West Virginia American Water strive to keep our customers up-to-date on company news, and this Twitter pilot project gives us another tool to do that,” said West Virginia American Water President Wayne Morgan. “We are proud to have been chosen by American Water to launch this pilot project and are optimistic that it will be a success.”
