CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Sony Playstation 3 gamers are getting a slow reboot, but it's for security purposes only.
Right now, Sony is rolling out firmware updates while warning that it will take time to restore all service. Sony shut down its Playstation network music-based service in mid-April after a cyber attack that led to millions of users' personal details stolen.
Earlier this week, Sony offered a free, $1 Million cyber security insurance policy and implied gaming won't be available again until the end of the month.
You can find out what updates are available by going to: http://blog.us.playstation.com

Buyer Beware! It turns out, some apps for Android smartphones are malicious. At least 11 apps on the Android operating system will send text messages from the phone to numbers in China.
Those numbers then sign up the unaware victims to paid subscription services. The apps include: iBook, iCartoon, iGuide, iCalendar, Lovebaby and Sea Ball.
Google has removed the problem apps from the Android Market, but one security firm says more apps could be infected.

Blackberry is recalling some of its new Playbook tablet computers. Research in Motion has recalled about 1,000 Playbook tablets because of an operating system glitch that won't let the computers load software.
Research in Motion says it's working to replace the ailing Playbooks.
