I have noticed that no one has ever gotten mad at me for saying it to them. I always wonder if saying to someone will start a fight, but it never has. One thing though Austin, & anyone else with his opinion. We have been saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS for years. Why now is it such a bad thing to say? Christmas is not the only holiday celebrated this time of year. It starts with Thanksgiving, & goes on through to the New Year. For me saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS is just one way to cover them all. I am 34, & have been saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS since I was a child. I just don't get why some Christians would only now be offended when someone says HAPPY HOLIDAYS, instead of MERRY CHRISTMAS. I have been a Christian my whole life, & not offended at all when HAPPY HOLIDAYS is said. This is so silly for anyone to get upset over. This is a time of different holidays, it covers them all. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all

A large reason that we have lost the right to speak of God and Christ in certain public places is not do to the actions of groups that sponsor the separation of Church and State, but to the silence and apathy of believers. If others do get offended, they need to go to work like any other day on Dec. 24 and 25, not take advantage of all the sales, skip the office parties and family get togethers and forget the gifts and the food! This is America, which was founded on Christian principles. We need to stop letting the minority, who come here from other countries with their beliefs, tell the rest of us who have had established traditions, to stop what we do to keep them from being offended. Celebrate your holidays the way you want, America doesn't stop African-Americans from celebrating Kwanzaa, or Jews from Hanukkah or me from Yule. If you have an opinion that differs.. watch out, there'll be hell to pay! I found out this morning about Coach Kidd and I thought it was a joke. He's not allowed to be excited about the new coach for his team? He's not allowed to have an opinion and express it w/o being escorted out of his place of business? WVU FANS NEED TO LIGHTEN UP. THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN FOOTBALL. If the tables were turned.. you can sure bet WVU fans would be bragging... and would they be escorted out? I doubt it. It is sad that during this Christmas season people find the need to act this way. Just because the WVU season did not live up to it's high expectations.. the sore losers of WVU need to learn how to be better sports. There are more important stories to be covered on the news.. can we move on already?

I am offended by apathetic parents lugging their kids around as if they were a burden or a handicap, yet they continue to produce more and more offspring because they don't consider consequences or they just want to hook up. The result is under-nurtured kids that will grow up and exponentially reproduce the same cycle. If you are not one of these parents, I apologize, but your original posts suggests that you are.

Although you may not be aware of it, there are other ways to not mass produce children (BC, abstinence). Everyone is aware of these preventative measures (except for maybe Amy), but few exercise them. Karen, I thought you no longer felt the need to explain yourself? You complained on a public forum about the public. That alone is asking for an argument; however, I don't disagree (I feel as though I'm repeating myself here) that people often don't leave appropriate tips. But let's ignore for a moment that you used your children to exaggerate that point. All servers know why they choose serving over minimum wage (despite some of them whining about not making minimum wage) and it is because you make more than people working for minimum wage, regardless of a bad night of tips.

Leaving a dollar on a $100 check and this becomes a war. Some of you putting down ppl because they are servers in a restarant. Why would you do that?? If I wanted to be technical, I could mention that they left the US on August 8 and arrived in Kuwait on the 9th. They spent about 4-5 days there before they actually arrived in Iraq. When they left in June, they spent 4-5 weeks in Wisconsin. So the next time you mentioned the 111th, you have info for the story.

At least now I do feel we have a chance at the Fiesta Bowl after all, something did not seem right about the Pitt game and the way WV played and I do not blame the players because the "coach"was calling the plays!! I hope Michigan is prepared to have a coach that you can not depend on to do the right thing for his team because they just recruited the right person for the job!! I will be cheering for anyone playing Michigan in the coming seasons!
