WSAZ-please post all the comments on stories that you give an opportunity for those who wish to do so. But, I agree not the ones with obscene language. I have posted several comments on your stories and they were good comments, but have not seen them posted.

The house fire in Portsmouth ohio is so horrible for 3 children and their mother, people should really think about this story and make sure they have smoke alarms in their home and maybe this could have ended differently. Every one is praying for the family.

CONTINUE: he every went to my place of employement & told me how to do my job? I said no, then he told me not to tell him how to do his job. I still refused to move my vehicle & I was then told to move it or it will be towed & other action taken. She still not receiving any ticket. Why have laws when the city's finest only enforce what they want, when they want. That is why my family & I are looking to move out of the city limits & with our jobs being out of the city limits, Huntington WILL NOT be getting anymore of my & my family's money. I used to be proud to be from Huntington, but now it is a laugh joke.

I just had the best experience with Huntington finest Police officers (car #130 & #134) @ 4:00pm. My mother is disabled from multiple strokes & is in PT & Speech theraphy 4 days aweek. We have a state issued handicap permit & the blue metal sign in front of our house. I live close to CHH & an employee from the perinatal center decided to be stupid & park there with NO permit. I called 911 @ 11:45am when we arrived home & to no avail, I waited over 1 hour for the police to arrive to ticket the car. I did manage to squeeze my car in to a small spot, that left her very little room to move. She called 911 & quess what? Within 3 min. they were there to give ME a ticket for blocking her in, but did not issue her a ticket for parking in a handicap area without a permit. My sister came out of the house & the finest told her to go back in the house that she had nothing to do with this. I asked if she was going to be given a ticket & officer in (#134) ask me where I worked & asked if

i think it's a shame that here we go again, the clintons and their dirty politics. And shame on black americans who don't vote for obama, we are the only race of people who would rather see someone else make history than one of our own. Shame on Bill and Hillary Clinton for bringing race into this election anyway. What's wrong with black people standing up for one of our own, other races do it everyday but it only becomes a problem when it's black people standing for their own. Sounds like slave mentality if I ever heard of it.

Dearest Lady - Your comment regarding not recalling that anyone said that they did not know Obama was running prior to his announcement.....You've apparently missed the entire context of my comment which was about how weary I am of hearing false rumors and asking folks who continue to pass along such erroneous information (as to Obama) to check out the facts first. It is as if they have been on another planet for the last year. I'm still not committed to either candidate, but if Clinton gets the nomination, she would be wise to choose Obama as her runningmate. It would unite the party and America would be all the better for it. Too bad all three of them can't help run the country as they are all brilliant.

to cj remember why our jobs are in other countries. it was a clinton (nafta) that started it. a democrate!! and if a clinton would not be messen around we would not be at war he had plenty of oppurtunities to take old bin down and didnt he wanted bush to look bad so people would vote for hilary after all was said and done he knew what he was doing

Obama was never really elected by anyone to the senate anyway. He got the position for other reasons. If I'm not mistaken whoever was in the senate seat at the time died and he fell in place. Hopefully it stays American because he is neither black, white, hispanic or for that matter American Indian.

The Charges against a Mason County Resident that was charged for arson. Kimberly Blake it is reported that the charges were dropped due to the fact that the State Fire Marshal's Officer didn't show up for court. What happened that he didn't show up. There is some saying that he didn't show up because her Daddy paid off the Fire Marshal's officer off. How come we didn't see anything about this on the news yesterday? We see it in the County Newspaper. There is alot going on in Mason County with the 911 Center/EMS than meets the eye. We need to remember we do have a choice in may to choose to boot out several Commissioner's since they are closing their eyes to things that goes on right under their noses.

There is another case of Daddy paying off officials in Mason County, The Arson charges against Kimberly Blake have been dropped because the Fire Marshal's officer didn't show up for Court...... How is this even fair to the people in Mason County that they drop the charges because of who you know..... What kind of example is this to the kids in the County.... Can someone please let us know why the State Fire Marshal's Officer didn't show up..... Or is everyone's comments about Daddy paying off the Officer's right.......

A vote for McCain is a vote that encourages big business to keep our jobs in foreign countries where labor is cheap and to keep our young men and women in Iraq. He is merely a King George "want-to-be," and that spells TROUBLE! Also, take a long hard look at his fidelity record with his wives. After all, wife number two was being courted during the commitment to wife #1, and now we are learning of his association with an "ever-so-significant" lobbyist. I still cannot get his "so-called" humor out of my mind when he tried to influence Americans with "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran." DISGUSTING!!! These just are not the visions I have for my country. I am still undecided, but Hillary Clinton has demonstrated incredible strength as she weathered Bill's infidelity, and Barack has the characteristics of a true statesman, deserving of an opportunity to demonstrate his skills. One thing for sure, neither could be any worse than what we have now, even on their worse day!

Just curious Chief Whittington - how long does it take to send a gun to get cleaned for a retired officer? You should be ashamed!

I thought the internet was a way to get the MOST updated news, but the headlines now are "Election Eve" and it is 10:40a.m. on Tuesday. I want to see about the teen that died that was mentioned last night, I think from an ATV accident. I also thought maybe something would be on here about a lady getting killed in a car wreck on 775 late last night. This web site should be updated at every news cast. Thanks for listening. Thanks for faster service in the very near future!

There was an article in the Daily Independent yesterday concerning the loss of business in Ashland, Ky. Ms. Shirley Massie, owner of Ashland News reflected that people need to quit worrying about being given a parking ticket. Tonight Chris Pullem, Economic Development Director, will host an Ashland Summit to discuss a "five-year strategy" to build the downtown community. I fail to see an economic benefit if people entering the city are required to move their cars every two hours. For those of you who are unaware, if you park in the city, a mark is put on your tire. If you do not move your car every two hours, a ticket is given. If the $5.00 ticket is not paid in minimal time, it becomes $10.00. If not paid within set time, a summons to court and court costs. Welcome to the City of Ashland where they await you with open arms to give you the parking ticket of your dreams!

Mr. Obama is exactly what we need here in the U.S. He is smart and has charisma, something that the idiot in there now hasn't. If we only elected people because the have a so called American name then we would only be able to vote for John big Bear or Lone Wolf, American native indians. They are the only true Native American's. No more Bush's do we need. Ayoung person with brains is a must. Obama or Obush, or Oclinton. Its not about a name. BOBN

I really dont believe that the media needs to report the graphic nature of someones death to the public. I feel that it is not the business of anyone reading or watching the news to know the whole grisly truth. I hate to know that fsmilies of loved ones lost in car wrecks or fires or any other accident should have to relive their loss at noon,6 and 11. I've been there for that, its not good for the mind. They just need to think for a moment before releasing pictures and video to the airwaves. Show some respect to the families in their time of loss

Where have you people been for the last couple of years? I knew Obama was going to run for President long before he ever announced it. He was much too popluar in his home state and is a good speaker. Do you not ever watch CNN or Fox News? And where have you been when he has answered truthfully the question of his Christianity - no he is not a Muslim. Yes he will say the Pledge of Allegence and say it on a BIBLE. If Mr. Obama put a commercial on TV stating all of these truths, would you then believe it? He has answered these questions repeatedly. No I'm not saying I'm going to vote for this man, the woman or the other man quite yet. I'm still checking them out and would advise anyone who believes stupid internet retoric that they need to do the same. Yeah, I got that email, too. DELETED IT. Let's educate ourselves before we vote on State & National issues. EVERY VOTE COUNTS - USE YOURS WISELY. Four years ago it was slim pickins' - at least this time we have a variety of views!
