cats don't like moth balls. Sprinkle them in and around your flower beds.

I agree about the dress codes at work. If you deal with the public you should dress professionally. I don't think anyone I work with ever looks in the mirror before they leave the house, or they are delusional and think they DO look good.

I am still yelling about the cats using my flower garden for a litter box. Does anybody have any solutions on keeping them out?

I pretty much think its gross for someone wearing a short, tight top with her muffin top midrif hanging out over her jeans. I don't want to see my own stretch marks much less yours. Put some clothes on and cover up the topographical road maps. You can dress sexy and still be classy.

WSAZ doesn't do a very good job on weekend news. Today is Sunday and all the headlines and stories are from Friday.... I notice this every weekend.

This is for James who thanked you for putting on news about Charleston because he was sick of hearing about Kentucky and don't think Kentucky should be mentioned. James, wake up out of the fog you are in, Charleston is reported on the news DAILY. So is Huntington. Obviously you don't watch it everyday or maybe your don't UNDERSTAND it. Not sure which it is. I live in Kentucky and do appreciate all of the stories WSAZ puts on, good or bad news, Charleston, Hungtington or Kentucky. That is all part of living in a TRI-STATE area. Just in case you don't understand the word TRI-STATE it means 3 states James!!! Thanks WSAZ for all you do.

How many people know about the DOH's plan to close the Winfield Toll Bridge for a year to rehabilitate it? This, in their own words, will create a 14.4 mile detour through the Buffalo Bridge. There is an alternative proposal of partial closure which would be bi-directional using alternate traffic signals. This is not what the DOH wants. Unless the public can convince them otherwise they will submit the project as full closure after July 7. My concern is for the economic burden to individuals, businesses and the school system if this is allowed to happen. In this time of ridiculously rising fuel costs, the DOH preferred option seems unnecessarily burdensome for a struggling economic system and the cost to individuals who must use the bridge multiple times each day is untenable.I'd like the matter investigated. Can you help get the word out so that people can contact Gregory L. Bailey at the WV Division of Highways?

On behalf of Wal-Mart, I'd like to thank you for spending your economic stimulus checks there. It was such a boost to our economy, as seventy percent of Wal-Mart's products are imported from here. I'm glad that you made the right choice in jump starting our economy like this instead of the United States' economy. Hope we got all the lead paint out for you too, but if not, that's all right! What's a little lead between friends?

I work at a bank. If you go get a loan or open an account do you want to see your financial service rep in spaghetti straps (with their arm fat flapping at you? Would you trust them with your money if they looked like a crack head slut? I didn't think so. Once someone thinks it's okay to wear skimpy clothes, then it's the chubby ones that think it looks good on them, then the over 50 crowd thinks they look good in mini skirts. I wish they would get us uniforms, because quite frankly I'm embarrassed for them. We do have a dress code, but no one ever enforces it. Bermuda length shorts are not considered "business casual". Anon, if you wear those to work, I am sure you are pushing the limit on your company dress code.

Hey Mo...and the rest of you that are offended by what some people wear to work. Why are you still going there??? Dont go to the business anymore. I for one dont know what places you are talking about. Where I work, as im sure everywhere else, we have a dress code. Yes we can wear shorts, but they have to be long and not tight. My shorts come to my knees...are you saying thats wrong too????

The railroad can haul one (1) ton 400 hundred miles on a gallon of fuel. A railroad engine has a disel engine. The disel engine runs a generator that charges large batteries. The batteries run electric traction motors on each truck which has four wheels. Four trucks under each engine So it is electricity that is moving the engine. Why can't this same way be applied to trucks & cars? A small motor to run the alternator or genator to charge the battery to run a electric motor on the axel just like a railroad engine. You would not need a big motor and battery to run a car or truck. Why not? Surley there is someone out there that can give me an answer yes or no. Ron Miller 606-932-2660

personally i don't think it matters how anyone dresses at work if they do their appointed job and if everyone else acts like an adult and ignores what they might thinks is less than perfect clothing choices. or maybe everyone should be required to wear a uniform so no one could be offended by the clothing choices of others. and the job manager could walk around all day and require everyone to adjust any button or hemline that was out of place. wouldn't that be a perfect world?

Devil's advocate can be an interesting roll. I for one would never dress in skimpy clothing because then I would be exactly who booger and Ari are talking about. Although my pathetic comment proved rewarding in showing how truly sincere the comment was. I don't expect to go to work and see guys with their underwear stuck out (nor do I need to see the crack of their rear everytime they bend over). I cetainly don't want to see a females "assessts" all day long either. The point of my first post was that we all question the sanity of others who dress or act differently than we do. However, without strict guidelines or mandatory scrubs, those who don't mind to be on display will continue to be just that. I worked with a lady who dressed very provocatively and couldn't understand why men were always making comments. My response was don't ask and you won't receive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: Ari on Jun 18, 2008 at 03:57 PM
yeah if you are going to wear something short adn tight at least asve the rest of us from the sight, dont do it if you go fat rolls hanging out

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: booger on Jun 18, 2008 at 01:57 PM
I don't mind if girls wear next to nothing. As long as they're not fat...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: Ari on Jun 18, 2008 at 01:16 PM
I agree with you nope. It's the girls who are walking around at 2 in the morning downtown wearing next to nothing that get mad becasue someone sadi something to them or they got jummped. Some thing everywhere else if you dont want the attention then dont dress to draw attention to your assets. You girls arent stupd you know aht your doing when you walk around wearing skimpy outfits

Please don't think bad of Don Blankenship what you need to do is hold him up in your prayers. Remember he once pumped gas and cleaned wind shields. The money he has did not come with instructions, and having no formal training he just goes in all directions buying and demanding because he can. People will jump through hoops for his aproval and then he laughs at them. He has turned his back on his family because he has forgot how to love. He only knows how to control. The women in his life are nothing more to him than eye candy. He does not love, he only cares about what looks good. He still sends money to the last trophy with the excuse that he got her use to a lifestyle that she can't afford on her own. The one now is so funny to watch out in public as is Don to know where and what they came from and to watch them as they try to figure it out. So please don't resent what he has because until he has Jesus he has nothing. Divorce and openly living in sin being corupt. What does he have

Mo - I agree with you. I don't want to see your tatoos, or your hairy legs (men or women) or your underarms from that tank top. There is a difference between tasteful and tacky. It has nothing to do with "showing off" your body. Are we supposed to be on display at work? What every happenned to appropriate attire for the situation? My office is casual so we can wear jeans just so they aren't ripped or ragged. I'm glad I don't have to dress up; clothes are expensive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: Mo on Jun 18, 2008 at 11:19 AM
To Jealous, Actually my body is smokin hot, but I choose to leave something to the imagination and try to stay professional at work. When you come to work looking like a hooker, people will treat you like one.

Guess what??The water is off again in Fort Gay.It has been off since Monday and no one is working on the problem.I feel if someone like WSAZ would expose this problem, maybe something would finally be done about it.Help!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: nope on Jun 18, 2008 at 12:08 AM
I have to agree w/mo. If the women wanna show off there bodies because they need attention elsewhere go to the bar or beach. Its these same women that when they get the comment they are looking for they claim sexual harassment and then say oops I have to much cleavage. I'm sure there will be a woman complain about what I've typed here. Jealous made it very clear as to why they dress the way they do. It's all about the body and showing it off.

Sarah, We have a newscast based out of Charleston that is strictly Charleston news and also from the nearby counties in WV.It's on Suddenlink Cable. If you have satellite though, you are seeing the newscast from our Huntington station which covers WV, OH and KY. Just so you know, we have thousands of viewers in those states just like we do in WV so it's our job to cover news in KY and OH.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: jealous on Jun 17, 2008 at 10:43 PM
are you jealous mo? don't have a body to show off?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: Rob on Jun 17, 2008 at 08:57 PM
It is still beyond me how WSAZ can cram all the wonderful news into 30 minutes. Shucks, it takes a good 20 minutes just to report all the crime that goes on in Huntington in a single days time!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by: Sarah on Jun 17, 2008 at 06:19 PM
I agree with the person that said they are tired of hearing news from KY and OH. We have national news to broadcast from those states. You don't report on WV's other surrounding states. If you want to report on KY and OH, move your newsroom to their state.

I just want to vent about the dress code at work during the summer. Seems every year it gets worse. Please people, some of those outfits are for bars to pick up men not the workplace. Also, shorts are shorts regardless of the length. I don't want to see your skin so cover it up at work.
