To Trisha: we appreciate you watching from Athens County. We don't cover that area as much as we used to because it was removed from our TV market. The ratings showed that an overwhelming number of people in Athens County watch Columbus stations. We were disappointed to see those statistics, too. Many of our employees are Ohio University grads.

I want to know why there isn't more coverage of Athens County. Also, why Athens County isn't included in the weather updates on the 6 and 11 o'clock news map. WSAZ is the only news channel I watch. Most of us in Athens cannot get Columbus OH news. Please include us in all your news coverage!! We have no local news outlet (newspaper, radio, or TV) that provides any news of what is occuring in this area. All we get is stuff from the AP wire. Thanks.

I was just wondering if you could find out if there is any truth that the State Bd. of Educ. is thinking of a four day school week due to increased gas prices? It would make sense if they did. Of course nothing in WV or any place else makes sense anymore. Thanks for your time!!!

First off, we know a lot about photosynthesis. Do a search for it and you'll be surprised by how much we know and about how we're trying to do artificial photosynthesis. As for the emotion post, did you know that the previous "God is here" argument was about the eye? It was supposed to be so complicated that evolution couldn't have done it and so God must exist. We proved that one wrong also. We are researching emotions and the cause of them and how they work. Then what will the creationists say is "too complicated"?

With regard to doubting the Bible, I think the easiest question to ask is how do you think our bodies have produced emotion, feelings, etc.? I mean, our bodies can't produce these things, so there has to be a higher being to create the soul. I don't care what day the sun was created, maybe God created everything, like the plants, and got it all ready and then created the sun. Either way, it doesn't make a difference. I believe in science and I believe in religion. Some say the two cannot co-exist. I say, explain to me what in my body produced emotions, etc. If it were the body producing such things, we would all think and act the same, but we don't. Obviously a higher being. And for you athiests, I believe you argue so much because you are hoping that you can somehow prove you are right so you haven't screwed up your chances to get to heaven by not believing in God.

the point remains bible thumper that we are taking the days literally just as written, and because he is God it doesn't matter, he knew one needed the other. We cannot expect God to teach the humans everything. He created the light and the seed and photosynthesis... Look around you, just because all of these theories, text books, and everything higher learning is available, that doesn't mean that ALL humans around you partake, understand, or even have a clue. He is God, that is all that matters. Why not attempt to make a difference in the world instead of this critique of God? You will get farther with more people.

whether the Bible is true or not, I would still believe in it, and if it's not true, I sure have had fun believing it is. One thing for sure, Satan believes it is real, and he knows there is a God, and he knows his time is short. For those who believe to be atheist's, give us a break... you know there is a God, you are just running from something, try and find out the truth. I would bet you didn't work Christmas Day, I bet you celebrated Christmas just like the believer did. You put a Christmas tree up and trimmings, fine Christmas dinner and all that good stuff, And you felt something in your heart to give a gift to someone, that's what gift giving is, it's a part of the celebration. I bet you took the day of for Easter too, and gave an Easter basket to some child, hunt eggs, had a fine Easter dinner. You may not believe there is a God, or believe in the Bible, but, 5 seconds after you're dead, you will. TOO, LATE. that's called "wasting it" man.

I like the seed theory until we have this idea that a Biblical day is 1000-7000 years (which creationists tend to accept). So we're still stuck with naming a seed that can last at least 1000 years. One would think an all knowing God would create the light source first, since plants will need it. Instead, we have a human inspired story, since humans didn't know about photosynthesis just yet.

The recycling project with the day care is a good thing but...the teachers need arrested and charged with child endangerment!! Allowing themselves and the children to walk that close to possibly live railroad tracks is what gets people killed! It is against the law to trespass on railroads property. Operation Lifesaver teaches children to stay away from the tracks...maybe the adults need talked to like children.

Animals are better than most humans. They are just poor helpless aniamls that cant upen the can of food themselves, or most of the time fend off people from attacking them. I feel NO pitty for those people who get mauled by animals becasue they thought it would be a good idea to stick their arm in the cage or taunt them ( like those idiot at that zoo) I would help animals before most humans for the fact Humans bring most of whatever they get upon themselves, animals dont have a choice in the matter

Can we please stop with all of the good wholesome animal stories. I personally do not care that a cat was rescued from a storm drain, or that a dog had a chain imbedded in his neck. These are animals, easily replaced and of no importance. These stories just boil the blood of the "animal martyrs" who treat animals better than they would a human, which quite frankly is just wrong.

the protection laws in wv is a joke my husband has a bad heart condition and does not need stress. as i work all day we have neighbors who constanly when im gone start running their mouth to get him stressed out the gone before i get home this is everyday i tried to get a restraing order to prevent this and the law officer says unless there is physical volince cant help suprise if something happens to my husband like a heart attack and death appears then i can file a civil wrongful death suit. too late then this is why the protection laws suck and u see people everyday being killed because the law wont protect us until its too late ask the families that have orders cant nonthing be done until physical harm come to someone or in most cases death i try to do the legal right thing but in this state wright is wrong and wrong gets action

i am going to try to leave this post one more time. Obviously because I am not Don, Ari, Bible Thumper, or Joe Mama, my post isn't good enough. So here goes one last time... Seeds were sown on day three because they don't need sunlight if they are planted. So therefore the sunlight was created the next day in order to give the plants what they needed once their tiny sprouts popped through the soil. So it doesn't matter which order. Had the sun been put there too soon the soil would have been freshly baked and so the soil woulndn't be able to allow the seeds to sprout. Sounds a whole lot better than questioning God. Only God knows why God does things the way he chooses. Our opinion on the matter is not exactly what he has to answer to. It will be okay. What matters is you are here, living, breathing, and eating. The sun shines everyday and the plants grown everyday. That is enough!

hey bible thumper, lets just think about your last post for a minute. Maybe God planted everything from a seed--oh my. And obviously we all know that the seed must be sown into the earth-(soil). The sun doesn't have to be present for the seed to begin sprouting. You can start a bean seed in total darkness. Thus the seeds all were planted on day three and the sun didn't have to shine til the next day. I know, I know, how did he plant trillions of seeds.... I don't know and I don't care---He is God, there is no doubt he can do whatever he wants. Now would you please find a new hobby besides shoving your views of religion down everyones eyeballs.

We know the sun was created on the forth day... but plants were created on the third day. We know plants require sunlight to live, so why did God make these things in this backwards order? Now if we take the literal time frame, and a day in creation as being a 24 hour period, the plant thing isn't a real problem... plants can survive 24 hours. But then the whole creation story loses credibility... who really believes the universe was created in less than a week? Not even most creationist believe this one. That is why many people say that a day in the creation was 1,000 to 7,000 years (depending on who you ask). Name a plant that can live 7,000 years with perfect conditions... much less with no sunlight.
