Thank you for all the weekend updates! I'm so glad you finally have someone who can do it. I was so tired of seeing the same headline for 2-3 days.

It did not bother the Govorner to come to Mingo County when he first ran for office and lie to the tax payers about consolidation of our high schools that are good for another 25 to 30 years and put one on top of a mountain 10 miles from the main highway with nothing else around this some say just to help his big time coal friends get the coal free and tax free Mingo county needs one grade school if you seen the news where the coal truck ran into the store then it should make them wonder about our grade school that sets with in 20 foot or less from a main road they closed one school that was more than 1000 foot from the highway to do this. there are schools in WV that need the money more than Mingo County someone needs to tell Big Joe this it is time to stand up and put the children first not the coal company friends. there are millions of dollars coming into Mingo but we don't know where it is going they built a big garden site here for millions and now lease it to a church for $ 1.00

Ms. Palin walks the national stage as a small-town foe of “good old boy†politics and a champion of ethics reform. The charismatic 44-year-old governor draws enthusiastic audiences and high approval ratings. And as the Republican vice-presidential nominee, she points to her management experience while deriding her Democratic rivals, Senators Barack Obama and Joseph R. Biden Jr., as speechmakers who never have run anything. But an examination of her swift rise and record as mayor of Wasilla and then governor finds that her visceral style and penchant for attacking critics — she sometimes calls local opponents “haters†— contrasts with her carefully crafted public image. Throughout her political career, she has pursued vendettas, fired officials who crossed her and sometimes blurred the line between government and personal grievance, according to a review of public records and interviews with 60 Republican and Democratic legislators and local officials.

WASILLA, Alaska - Gov. Sarah Palin lives by the maxim that all politics is local, not to mention personal. So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency. Ms. Havemeister was one of at least five schoolmates Ms. Palin hired, often at salaries far exceeding their private sector wages. When Ms. Palin had to cut her first state budget, she avoided the legion of frustrated legislators and mayors. Instead, she huddled with her budget director and her husband, Todd, an oil field worker who is not a state employee, and vetoed millions of dollars of legislative projects. And four months ago, a Wasilla blogger, Sherry Whitstine, who chronicles the governor’s career with an astringent eye, answered her phone to hear a

I love how people like to blame this Nafta thing on Bill Clinton. It came about before he was president and was only approved by congress during his term. It actually started in 1989. Who was president then? Yeah that's right. That was before Bill Clinton. Many were right to be concerned about jobs going to Mexico and China cheaper labor and lax enforcement of environmental protection. Look where is has gotten us. Lower food qualities, lead tainted paint on our childrens toys, tainted dog food. What's next. Oh that's right. Our Medications produced in another country. They don't want us getting our medicine from Canada but it can be produced in China. I'm real fond of that. (not)

In December 1992 NAFTA was signed by the leaders of the three countries—Brian Mulroney of Canada, Carlos Salinas de Gortari of Mexico, and George H. W. Bush of the United States. Despite approval from national leaders, the agreement would not be made effective until the legislatures in all three countries had also voted to accept it. In the United States, the debate over NAFTA divided members of both the Democratic and Republican parties and ignited fierce opposition from environmental and labor groups. Many feared that jobs would be lost because the agreement would facilitate the movement of U.S. production plants to Mexico, where plants could take advantage of cheaper labor and lax enforcement of environmental and workers’ rights laws. The Congress of the United States narrowly approved NAFTA in November 1993, during the term of President Bill Clinton.

I wish we could find just one candidate for office that is willing to tell the truth.I'm not saying all are lies, but we need some one that won't try to get ellected by telling all the negetive things about their opponet. we all have negetives, so how about telling us what you can do for us and not what the other person can't or won't. grow up and start being adults,

"It's suspected that the engineer of Metrolink train may have been texting" Why does it take a castrophy like this to get somebodies attn about how dangerous those DANG cell phones are. I get so tired of people weaving in and out of my lanes all because of their cell phones. Its a wonder that my horn still works because I am not shy about blasting it when somebody wants to hog up 2-3 lanes while using the phone. But if my horn does go out, I guess I still have sign language. You know what I mean. I think it should be illegal to use the phone while you are driving. Be considerate and pull off to the side of the road if you need to talk or text because this could very well have been you causing such a horrific wreck.

I just watched the video about Pakistan ordering a return fire on the U S if they attack across the border again. They insist they are doing all that they can against terrorism and the U S shouldn't be bombing their country. I think this is bogus, I have felt all along that Al Quaida was in Afghanistan and Pakistan and yet we go after Iraq. I feel that he wanted to finish the job that his did not get to finish in Iraq and that's why he targeted Iraq. But if you had ties to the Laden family, I guess you would try to divert the attentions somewhere else too..

It was during a democratic (Clinton) presidency that banks were de-regulated. Everyone and their brother could get money to buy a house, even if they could not afford it. So all I hear is vote Democratic. The Democrats have made this country the mess it is in. Clinton administration started the free trade agreement (which means we lost jobs to China). Yes, vote Democratic!!!! Stupid West Virginian's!!!

Quote from today: Light, sweet crude for October delivery fell $4.05, or 4 percent, to $97.20 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after earlier dropping to $94.13, the lowest level since Feb. 14. A close at that level would be oil's first settlement under $100 since March 4. There should be no way that gas is now at $4.05 a gallon. Corporate is making more money and we're getting the shaft; bend over America it won't be much longer that this country will be annexed to another
