DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS, WHY SHOULD IT MATTER? ALL GOV. OFFICIALS OR WHOEVER IS ELECTED SHOULD BE THE SAME. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO KEEP THIS COUNTRY SAFE AND SECURE AND DO EVERYTHING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO PUT YOU IN OFFICE, NOT SUCCUMB TO THE WEALTHY AND GREEDY. HELP THE PEOPLE, NOT YOURSELVES.

A guy we know works at the Wayne Co. Courthouse. They give him a Jeep to drive with County tags. He is not a police officer or an official of any kind. Is it legal for him and his wife to drive this vehicle for personal errands, to move into a new house with, to take out other couples & party on the weekends? As a Wayne Co. taxpayer I do not think it is fair. Who pays for the gas? They own 2 other cars so it's not like they are without transportation. I do not feel the people at the Courthouse are spending MY dollars wisely. I would vote that they drive their OWN cars like the rest of us do.

My nephew and his wife went with 4 busloads of miners to DC to the hearings on mountain-top removal and were TREATED HORRIBLY by the staff in that town. They wouldn't let them sit in on the hearings, seperated them and took them to areas to wait during the hearings and the had no way of hearing what was going on. They also YELLED at them. When it was time to go back to the buses, someone asked a policeman how to get there and he said to "find it yourself". THESE ARE THE PEOPLE REPRESENTING US AND OUR LIVELYHOOD. SOME LITTLE HAS-BEEN ACTRESS GOT NATIONAL ATTENTION OVER THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS ISSUE. Now I ask you, conspiracy?, you decide.

If coal companies of WV had absolutly NO RESTRICTIONS placed on them, would they make sure they caused minimal impacts on the enviroment? Would the coal companies dip into their profits just to make sure everything was done in a way that they didn't cause a negative impact on rivers, creeks, land, the air and all that lives on the earth? Would they? Should we just get out of their way and let them do what they do and just shut up?

Well, I give up, the country and everything America has stood for is backwards right now, so why not join in? I have to confess I have had a change of heart about this hope and change stuff, it may work out after all. I found out yesterday that union members will not have their health benefits taxed as income, while everyone else will, then it dawned on me, everybody working will be paying my health care bills, then like a light bulb, a voice from on high said, HOPE and CHANGE. Really folks, how do you feel knowing you work for your benefits, you will be taxed on them, but union members and of course congress will be exempted from that. Up until now I thought America had gone crazy voting for a guy who is proving to be a dunce in every area, especially the economy, but I understand. Dark skinned folks voted for color, union people voted for a free ride, socailists for a fellow traveler. Well, join in for what little time we have left. Health care, cap and trade, card check, you go!!!

I am not on welfare but on a small income and paid taxes for years. If I was able I would get a job and work and be glad to have a job. I am in that too old catagory and also disabled. I am sorry you jumped to your conclusion and assumed everyone that has small incomes are on welfare. As for Walmart did you know that most of their products are either from China or other overseas companies? If the jobs that were sent overseas and taken from people here at home we wouldn't be in such a financial state nor would we have people without jobs. It's a shame that we can't buy US made products made here in the USA but have to depend on foreign made products to sustain us. Yes there are still some things made here but very little. Yes the rich and the middle class keep the economy going but so do the small income people. It's a shame though that we aren't given any recognition as to helping the economy. That is what I meant by my comments.

'Liberty Or Tyranny?' House Passes Cap-And-Trade Republicans Warn Bill Gives Federal Government 'Virtual Control' Over 'Every Aspect Of The Lives Of The American People. Thank the Dumbocratic controled house as it will raise the average consumers power bill $175.00 This on top of the energy companies already asking for an inctrase will put such a burden on the American people that only the wealthy will survive. Please write or call our Senators they are the only life line we have left and ask them to VOTE NO on cap and trade. Republicans were overwhelmingly against the measure, arguing it would destroy jobs in the midst of a recession while burdening consumers with a new tax in the form of higher energy costs. And there was plenty to work on in a House-passed measure that pointed toward higher electricity bills for the middle class.Budget Office and the other from the Environmental Protection Agency — that suggested average increases would be $175.00 a year.

Hillboy, I see you change your name from Brandon(most likely). Yes you are wrong again, Massey increased there profit by 25% in the first quarter of the year>SHEW. I only received 5% decrease and some more. No you did not strike anything, but out. I already had a struck nerve over that. I agree NO ONE!!, makes anything better than God. Think on this for a second, if someone came in your house and filtered through your belongings, while you stood in the way defending what is yours, something they do not approve of and protested it in a "peaceful way"(and yes although the treehuggers did reek) they were peaceful. If someone just walked all over you at home or on your job how would you feel? Have you seen 8 mile? If so, I am like Eminem when he raps about what the other guy plans to rap about, I know what you will say, but please don't spew your garb here. It is powered by coal that you actually have that pleasure. I mine coal. Your Welcome!

Hillboy and Brandon, just curious about your mining experience. I have 13 years on surface, UG, and preparation. What is yours? As for your axe to grind with Massey, they have very successfully pursued a union substitution strategy over the years and it has worked. What can the union give them that Massey cant? A pension fund? Retiree medical care? 401k? Medical insurance? Competitive wages? I think the logical person taking a look around today would come to the conclusion that unionized industires and companies are pretty bad off. Airlines, multiple bankruptcies; auto, except for Ford, basket cases ran by Obama; and oh yes, lets we forget, the UMWA has endorsed the human wrecking ball. That is enough for me to question Cecil Robert's sanity. If the UMWA is so great why do they waste their time organizing hospitals, day cares, etc..things in no way related to mining. Its because they dont win certification votes. Why use MTR? It is less expensive than deep mining. No brainer, duh...

Why does b.e. get two or three posts sometimes the posts being duplicated..This will probally be my last post. It makes me so mad for people being so stupid. Maybe all the coal dust and polluted water has destroyed what brain cells they had left! When all you people who support the greedy and uncaring coal companys watch the owners pull out after they destroy our wonderful state and seeing your children dying of cancer and all kinds of diseases then I pray to God that he will give you the common sense to see this is caused by the chemical cos. and coal cos. Who in their right minds would allow another coal silo by a school? After the sludge dam breaks and kills more children say to yourselves, i could have stopped this. And, if b.e. wants a nascar track, move to where they already exist!

Hello again good working people of WV this is Big Earl and I seen this story in the news that our own Gov. Joe has finally wised up and is building a fence around the house up there in Charleston. I saw where he is taking some guff from some newspaper about this but people it is high time that somebody from the top down started setting a good example for WV people to follow while these foreign out of state tree huggers and hippies are running around our state and county. If I had my way I would advise Gov. Joe to put a fence up at the border with a sign on it Tree Hugger go away. You people will no doubt remember who warned you that the great unwashed mob that was decending on our county bothering our jobs had never met a bar of soap in there life that they liked then you seen them pictures of all of them longhairs being frogmarched into the Boone county jail and seen it was true. How do you think they pay for the gas to get over here with no jobs if anybody comes to your door trying to raise money by selling you a pair of them jesus hippie sandals or a Ziploc bag full of weeds or hippie grocery bags made in China out of tree bark I would advise you to pretend you are not at home or better yet have a fence put up with a hippie keep out sign on it.

During the elections all I heard was what to do to help the middle class. I heard nothing of what help can we give the people who are on small incomes. They have to eat,to be clothed, get sick,lf lucky buy gas for a car & yes pay taxes. Don't they pay into the economy? Don't they use their money to pay for all those things? Yes they draw a pension, if they're lucky because they worked & earned it. Yet seems like the rich & middle class are all that matter, just forget about the others they can just fade away. Let those bigwhigs walk in those shoes for a while and see what happens. They wouldn't walk very far.

Don Blankenship canceled on Dr. Hansen first. Get your facts straight. I'm sure that when King Don proposed it, he didn't think Hansen would actually accept. When Hansen did, well don't ya know Donny Boy had a 'scheduling conflict'. Maybe a better phrase would be "yellow streak". And I'm glad to see that I struck enough nerves to get the Massey propagandists out. How much do you PR guys get paid by Don? Just rememeber, last year Massey's revenue increased 25 percent, and then gave their workers a 6 percent cut in wages. You all remind me of the mileormore bird. It sticks its head in the sand and whistles out its rear, and you can hear the thing for a bout a mile or more.

I am really having trouble understanding Big Earl's latest post. I don't believe citing the Buffalo Creek disaster really firms up support for the coal industry. As I recall, this was one of the biggest disasters to hit WVA which was directly caused by Pittston Coal Company, even thought Pittston alleges the cause was "an act of God." It could be argued that Pittston paid for their damages, but I hardly feel the penalty/award averaging roughly $13,000 per victim can be considered just punishment for Pittston's deliberate lack of basic safety that led to 125 deaths and left several thousand people homeless. R-Arch Moore (ex-con) was WV's governor at the time. More power to the "tree huggers." Maybe they can stop the next disaster from happening. People in WV are so taken advantage of by coal operators who spew propaganda to their employees about these "tree huggers" they claim are only interested in seeing miners lose jobs. Tree huggers support a greater good.

Brandon, please I ask of you learn some facts. Mr. Blankenship is from WV also a Marshall student. Please if you are so upset that Mr. Obama has not come through as of yet just remember he still has 3 years and some few months left to get it. Oh guess I must have gotten the atteention of Mr. Hansen, he didn't even have the 30 seconds in him. Maybe he needs to have a typed letter from some so called press secretary from NASA to puppet his words just as most of you treehuggers that have been saying the same rhetoric for 30 yrs. Warren Buffett doesn't see the "green shoots" Ben Bernanke and other bullish investors have spoken of in recent months. In fact, the billionaire investor believes the economic picture will grow darker before things improve. "Everything I see about the economy is that we have had no bounce," Buffett told CNBC anchor Becky Quick in a televised interview Wednesday. "There were a lot of excesses to be wrung out and that process is still under way, and it looks to me that it will be under way for quite awhile. In the annual report, I said that the economy would be in shambles this year and probably well beyond, and I think that is true." Unemployment, said Buffett, will continue to drag the economy down. He told Bloomberg news that unemployment is "very likely to go above 10%." About 9.4% of the population -- about 14.5 million people -- was unemployed in May, the last month for which statistics are available. High unemployment will continue to depress consumer demand for everything from energy to cars and homes, Buffett said. Wednesday's news about new-home sales supported Buffett's argument. New-home sales fell 0.6% in May, dashing the hopes of many bullish investors who believed the economy and credit markets had turned around enough to fuel big ticket purchases.

Well hello good coal miners of WV this is Big Earl and to all you hippies and tree huggers I say ha ha your pointy head rocket scientist went back to NASA I suppose to look for cheese on the dark side of the moon I knew he would not stay around and debate we grow our own rocket scientists here anyway besides what does he know about coal mining. Nothing. He had to get back and save all the polar bears and penguins that are being killed and run off the ice by the evil coal miners I bet. People let me ask you a question who was running congress in Logan county in 1972 when that gob pile at Buffalo creek busted? These same people are running around now throwing in with the hippies and protestors trying to tell us how great they are and how bad we are for wanting to have a decent job and go to work. Well I say some people put up, like the ones who shall remain unnamed but challenge tree huggers to debates that I am sure would be carried on statewide PBS TV, and some people should shut up and go back where they come from if they cant put up. Like I said people there aint nothing in this state named for a tree hugger they don’t build nothing they don’t help out during the flood they just stand around with empty boots bumming pennies to aggravate working people.

For those of you who are talking about global warming and the hole in the ozone layer, look to germany for answers. We have changed our way of living so that we could reduce the hole in the ozone layer, did it work? Ask the germans, they did a study, what they found is amazing. If you think you can stop global warming by stopping mountain top removal, think again. I do like the idea of a few wind farms, but why remove the top a mountain for windmills instead of coal? Why not use the ones that are already stripped? As for the jobs of the coal miners, my husband got laid off this last round, do we really think that coal mines will be around forever? The tree huggers are not taking our jobs, we are giving them up to foreign countries. I am not a bible thumper, but I do believe in GOD, there will come a day when it will be so hot no one will live through it. There will come a day that no one will be able to afford to eat or drink. Think about that!

I grew up in Boone County, on Coal River. It was interesting to see "outsiders" from far away (like Maine) on the news as protestors re/mountaintop removal. One girl, when questioned, "What are the miners going to do for a living?"...her awkward response: "Help me here!" This is true, and a never-ending quandry to the coal industry situation. My perspective is: that Boone County and the region are already ruined by this long history of mining. I grew up with foul water from a well cracked by strip mine blasing, and, like everyone there, became immune to the sight of mountains being stripped away. Only outsiders, like Vista workers, or liberal church imports, i.e., Jack Wellers "West Virginia Mountain Project," expressed concern...this was back in the '60s. This new band of protestors hearken back to that time. Sad to say, I doubt they will make any difference. Things will remain as they are in Boone County.

Concerning the poll this morning over budget cuts in Ohio's parks and the removal of trash cans, I saw that 42% of people who have been polled thus far said that they would leave their trash. I just want to say that is so disrespectful. I really don't think they should have pulled the trash cans but leaving your trash there is not a good way to make your point. Think of all of the other people, and CHILDREN, maybe even yours, who enjoy the parks. Do you really want to visit a filthy park? Do you really want your children playing in an impromptu dump? Whether the state is right or not, these parks are for everyone and to leave your garbage is selfish, unsanitary, and damaging to our environment. Leaving your trash will not correct the problem, it will only exacerbate it.

Brandon, have you ever worked UG or Surface mining? I have never had to dodge a rock on the surface. As for Massey and the UMWA, I start with the UMWA. I have retired UMWA family members and I currently hold union (not UMW) membership. Election after election, they endorse the democrat, i.e., Algore, Kerry, Obama, the most radical, anti-coal, environmental extremists alive in the USA. These men are for higher taxes, restrictive gun control, attacking our foundational freedoms, yet they can always count on Cecil's rubber stamp endorsement. I remember the 84 strike in Matewan, I remember the 88 strike too. Look at the unionized industries in the USA-auto, dying; airline, bankrupt; only 11% of the country is unionized and 8% of that is govt. The UMWA lost elections at UBB mine three times, you think all those men who vote no are just stupid? Massey has a union substitution strategy, and it works. What can the union give M.E. employees that they cant earn themselves through the company?

So no-one will tackle the issue that Massey Coal are union breakers, and they use tactics like intimidation and blacklisting to keep the union out. They won't hire any older miners that were union men, because those seasoned guys know the difference and they'll try to organize. With MTR, Massey does it so they can wring another dime out of WV. Just to make more money. Its greed. Just like why they want to keep the southern coalfields non-union. It disgusts me to see all you 'flatlanders' slobber after the crumbs of Don Blankenship and Massey Coal. Mountaineers are always free. Move to Kansas or something.

"dear tree huggers" that are for underground mining they have destoryed drinking water if your wise enough to figure that out so for you and californians we need to put you in california and take a huge excavator and dig all the way around it so you can have your own little country and be on your own so you won't need logs or electric or coal

Keith, You didn't answer anything about Massey being union breakers. Nothing about the reasons Massey does MTR. I'm for coal mining the way they've done it traditionally - deep shaft. The safety has 90 years of development, and it employs more miners, but Massey won't do it because they can wring another dime out of WV with MTR. Massey is from outside, they are union breakers, and they do not care about WV. Coal operators have never cared about West Virginians, and it boggles my mind why everyone slobbers all over Don Blankenship's crumbs. There ain't no coal company, not even Don Blankenship and Massey that can make a mountain like GOD can.

Good working coal people of WV this is Big Earl and I have a news flash for some of you foreign tree huggers that has wandered in here have any of you longhairs ever heard of an engineering school? I know myself of several local boys what have done real good and gone away and learned to build stuff including coal silos and genuine dams that requires an education to build not gob piles of rock and mud like the mud huts in your commune. And by the way people the best secretary of state this state ever had was the honorable A. James Manchin yes he is kin to Gov. Joe and he never threw in with tree huggers like Mr. Little red jeep those Hollywood types never said a bad word about this state that A. James didn’t get in there face and give them what for for running down WV people remember the Love Boat. Next thing you know these ACORN nuts and ELF people will be in here growing dope patches and no you hippies don’t get excited it is not Christmas and I am not talking about Santa Clause but these are the soul brothers of the PETA nuts running around throwing paint on somebodys nice new rabbit fur coat or on there new V8 Hemmie powered truck. I for one do not care if you speak of your god or not,I do believe you have every right to speak about it if you want to tho.I just take offense when people think our country should be ruled with religious ideology,in god we trust and one nation under god were added during the communist witch hunt years and should be removed as it does present a wrong picture of the basic idea our fore fathers came up with. And as for taking your gods name in vain,I only see people that claim to be religious do that,as a non believer I have no desire to claim any of my actions were committed in the name of god, which is how many horrendous acts I've seen or heard of have been justified.Christians seem to not realize that even tho they are free to practice their faith in this country, this is not and never was a christian nation.

Mr. Hansen heres the debate you can finish it in 30 seconds. Look at Mr. Blankenship, tell him your an Al Gore wannabe and only GOD and GOD only will be the destroyer of this Earth. If Mr. Hansen you are scared of the Earth increasing in temperature you might want to read about the average total climate temperature(global) over the past 30 years, studies by scientists as yourself and meteorologists have recorded a loss in global temperature. Yes I myself need to study it more and get all the exact facts so all of you who will bash me, to late I did it myself. You lose for the 3rd time eg Not displaying banner on dragline, 2 not delivering your letter.Oops sorry I couldn't stop. Oh btw if your scared of the heat I can point you to somewhere where it's not hot. Jesus called it paradise to the thief on the cross. It is the only place you will never burn. Interested?. All the talk about green energy and green jobs, what exactly do you propose for miners to do when they leave a $50-70,000 year job with excellent health care benefits? The shame of all this is, it is all built on the nonsense of man made global warming, a complete fraud. Just look at the apostles of G.W., Al Gore, flies in private jets, lives like a king, profits from the selling of indulgences, oops, carbon credits, what a fraud. Robert Kennedy Jr. is the same, leaves the talk show, gets on a private jet that uses more fuel in one flight than my truck does in a year. Blah blah blah...now working folks, get ready, not only for your health benefits to be taxed to pay for "free" Obama care for illegals and people that dont want it or need it. Cap and trade it is called, taxing energy; working people, what will this do to your bill from AEP? I shudder to think. IF we survive this year it will be a wonder; I heard Obama say the other day unemployment will top 10% soon and continue upward.

Hey Brandon I was there too and I know who you are. It is not nice to call someone a punk. Oh by the way if we are so ignorant how many miners did you see askng for help getting their cars unlocked because they locked them with their keys inside. And you know it is true I saw you next to a woman who did it. Anyways for you people who did leave, if you traveled Rt 3 & passed the old Pettus grade school these hippie loving reefer smoking reeking goofs continually trespassed inside the building, disregarding the nice woman who asked them to stop coming inside. Invading the young men and woman doing the charity work for the area. Not only was it the reeking radicals but also MS. Hannah. whom I seen walking out of the ladies room drying her hands with the extreme toxic water drawn thru the taps from our glistening Coal River. WV these people they are doing a noble thing. Noble this, take a dingy boat out into the Gulf and protest the oil rigs, remember to flap your arms. Save a tree!!!!!!

Massey Coal is a union breaking company from outside the state. I was at Marsh Fork yesterday, and the miners yelled insults at Ken Hechler - who has been coalminers' best friend over the years. Massey doesn't HAVE to do MTR, it just makes them more money than traditional deep-shaft mines. We are not about taking peoples jobs. We are about having a diverse economy that is sustainable and healthy. All those scab miners working for Massey are a bunch of punks.

I'm a native of West Virginia and Kentucky and I'm tired of the "don't you support the miners?" attitude. How is the protection of our environment an either/or situation? Of course I support people providing for their families, but I also support a world where my children and their children can live. I support alternate energy and new green industries that would also provide for the miners to feed their families and leave behind a world that other generations can live in. Like the war in Iraq, we've been sold a lie and told that if we don't agree with the lie, we don't support those most affected by it. I never supported the war, but I always supported the troops for doing the job they had to do. Miners are simply doing the best they can do with the options they have, but they've been sold a lie that there are no other options. How long are we expected to keep believing the lie?

This was done very quietly with almost no one knowing about it. Once you pay your insurances for July you will notice the big fee attached. I am not a lawyer, but I don't quite see how this can be legal. There is also no reason for the increase! I am just trying to raise awareness of the issue thank you!

Just saw where the swine flu has hit a children's camp in WVa. I am praying that they will get well real soon and that the flu doesn't spread. It is terrible when kids get sick and can't help themselves and don't understand what is going on. I had kids of my own and it hurt me when they got sick. Thanks be to God He was with me and helped them get well. I'll get YELLED out I guess for mentioning God again. Oh well, it don't hurt me none. I just love kids, no matter whose they are, good or bad,or what color and I will always pray for them. We old people have just about lived our lives and if I can plant a seed of goodness in a little one then maybe when he or she grows up they will live good lives. Non-believers, what if it is one of your little ones that gets sick and doc says he won't get well. What will you do? Curse Him and blame Him or ask Him for His help on behalf of your little one? Oh I forgot. You don't believe. So now what? Where or who do you go to?

Coal miners, sorry about your jobs, But you ought to know that nothing lasts forever. There's no such thing as grandfather, father, and son retiring from the same job. Most jobs last around three years. Tell me what you are gonna do when the coal is gone? Its a non-renewable resource. Destroy the world to have a job? sounds third world to me . Like craveontruth, I am between 40-60 and also have a 4 yr. college degree, for anyone who cares. I think it shows the mentality of some of the people when they start calling racial slurs because some people care about our enviroment. Why wasn't the guy who called our president and leader the N word not arrested for hate crime? If the coal miners want to protest go to piketon and protest the nuclear power plant that is being built. COAL IS A THING OF THE PAST GET OVER IT!

Hi again. I read the poll asking if Hollywood celebs help or hinder causes. My view of Hollywood in general is they give a bad impression on peoples overseas. Their movies are on sex and violance and too, what is that teaching our young people? I am sure there are some actors that give their time and money to good causes but they also help to further the sex and violance in our young people by taking part in making the films. I know, it is freedom of speech but does that make it right? Oh yes it is a business and job to make a lot of money. Someone has to do it. When we go to see these movies we are upholding their themes. Yes it is just entertainment and not real. Tell this to the kids. Sex should stay in private bedrooms not played out on screens or talked and joked about on tv. Come on now YELL at me, its just my opinion.

Hello good working people of WV I am fired up about these hippie invaders bothering our jobs and mines and you should be to. It would seem Mr. little red jeep has got the hippie treeugger religion and throwed in with them but wait do any of you people remember what happened on Feb 26 1972 in Logan county and who was running congress in Logan county that same year? It would seem when these people had there chance well what happened? Well people you did not see Mr. NJR running around locking arms with these treehuggers trying to run off our jobs and I dont think he votes for hippies either. These hollywood types that woman that has a mans name anyway they march down the road blocking a public highway I noticed they did not stick around to debate anybody you know people that coal silo can be a great educational tool for the teachers they can show the little ones where the coal is kept that daddy mines and how it provides all the good things in life. That would put them ahead of the hippies

These Hollywood types are the kind that thinks you get electric from that outlet in the wall like its automatic and nobody has to dig the coal out put it on a train or truck and run it down to the John Amos plant. Some of these people bothering our jobs has done nothing of note for nobody in the last 50 years or so I guess they have to dust off the little red jeep lock arms with the longhairs and show up here I suppose to get there pictures on the TV they should know better. That makes it all one sided doesn't it? Freedom of speech is just that, freedom of speech or does it mean you're free to speak if you are agreeing with everything but keep quiet if you don't. HM maybe I need to just read about everything and not make any comment.I'm sure I would make someone upset. It's been interesting to read all the comments. In God We Trust is on our money, buildings, when we swear an oath we used to say so help me God. Our religious freedoms are slowly being taken away from us but we can openly discuss anything that isn't moral use foul language, tell off color jokes and laugh along with everyone else. but don't talk about God. If the swine flu causes a pandemic we had better hope and pray that God will be with us but let's not talk about Him. Let's use His name in vain. Or we can ignore Him and He will go away. I think not. There will always be discord among us in most anything we discuss but please be respectful in our response. Some of you have and I thank you for it. Joe allows these people in our state. These hippies from the OVAC and there friends from the coal river birdwatcher society come over here with there 10% jobless rate watch out Gov. Joe it might rub off why don’t they go back to ohio and raise there alpacas and grow there dope and quit bothering people who are trying to work and power this great country. Anyway you cant talk sense to these people they are the very ones who boo hoo about all the polar bears getting ran off then turn around and say that the cows pigs and sheep is polluting the earth by belching and using the facilities what do these hippies do feed them beer all day. People this chunky monkey rainforest crunch bunch from Sanfran Cisco come straight out of a longhair commune and I hope Mr DB will go down by the Safety department and get some of those little blue gloves for his personal safety before he shakes any of there hands remember S1.

I did not vote for him, but I will not stand around and whine because he's in office. I will support him and be the first to pray for him. Anyway, I have to say giveme a break! when it comes to this nonsense from PETA giving him a rough way to go for swatting a nasty old fly. That has to be one of the dumbest things I ever heard of. Just to enlighten you believers, when you don't believe in a god you also don't believe in a devil, demons or any other make believe character.if you personally believe in any of these things that's you.Don't try to make others live with your faith,or have our children taught your mythology in public schools. If you really understand your bible, you would realize it says no man can foretell end times, how many times has it been foretold and not happened, some have even started a new faith after their profit was shown to be wrong, that really is strange. If you don't wish to use the many scientific discoveries that make life longer and easier today don't, no one will force you,and if the country did go to religious rule what would you do if it wasn't your particular brand?would it be alright just as long as they believed in god?Would you be willing to follow all their laws, mormon, catholic, baptist, pentecostal,or whichever one is in power? That is why we have separation of church and state.

Well hello again good working people of WV this is Big Earl and people you know these PETA hippies wont leave nothing alone if they are not bothering the coal miners about polar bears they bother the circus and now they are bothering the zoo. It seems that zoos in the USA are providing good decent homes for hundreds of elephants and letting little children get to see these majestic packrat creatures up close first hand and not just in a book. Of course our PETA types don’t like this they say these elephants is being pinned up against there nature well people you leave an elephant alone in the wild and the first thing it does is find another elephant then another and then before you know it they see a mouse and are stampeding in a mad rampage through some village in India running all over peoples homes and rickashaws. Anybody that has any sense can look at an elephant and see that it has a good deal at a zoo. All the lions and tigers are kept in separate pens away from his kind and Jumbo gets all the peanuts he wants free of charge. Plus he will never hunted down by a poacher and put on a piano keyboard. Sounds like a deal to me.

Heres your answer go to ask,com and type in internet scams there are several places claiming to be secret shoppers companies that are printing fake cashier checks in the name of legitimate banks they look real and many banks have cashed them only to find out later they are fake and then guess who has to pay that back you the person that presented it so it maybe a little tough to have to wait 2 to 10 days but in the long run it could be for the better. My daughter got one of these and it cleared because they called the # on the check only top find out 4 days later that the # wasn't to the real bank but to the crooks who issued the check their real sneaky and have ripped off billions in money so far and are getting more everyday

Did you know that the devil and his demons believe in God too and tremble? They know that their time is about up and so is ours. Know one know when our time is up so we should live our lives in a way that when our time comes, we will be ready to meet the Lord. You don't believe any of what I am saying, I don't condemn you for it. I have loved ones that don't either and I grieve for them. I don't try to cram my beliefs down them I just tell them how I feel and they respect me for it and we don't argue. They know it is up to them to accept or reject the Lord. My prayers are that they will one day accept. I respect everyone's right to their beliefs. Make fun and make animal noises the devil rejoices in it. Or do you believe in the devil? Yes politics and religion don't mix. If they did maybe our country wouldn't be in such a state of low morals and constant caos. This said, I bid you a good day.

to just a reader-Amen. At the end times christians will be persecuted. Have read a lot of posts on here, have to say would rather be a "Bible Thumper" than the Devil's Advocate! Remember to have real knowledge of the word you have to be saved, baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. It can't be- once in grace, always in grace- you have to be a true christian and be "Christ Like". Seek and you shall find whatever you are searching for. You can never be truly happy until you have God in your life. May God Bless everyone who reads the yell, and help all the ones who may not believe in him and open their ears and eyes and heart.......To The TRUTH!!

When I said amen and amen I was praying. I don't want anyone to be left behind when the Lord comes back and if I can plant a seed and someone finds the Lord then I have done all I can do. God will do the rest. If we go on with our lives doing our own things; It will be our loss. We can't hide anything from the Lord whether it be thoughts or deeds. He knew us before we were ever born and gave us a choice of doing good or bad. Making fun and putting people down makes us happy at the time but there will be consequences when least expected. I think it takes more energy to hate than it takes to love so why waste the energy to hate. Of course at the time we may think it makes us feel good but does it? Try showing love and compassion and feel the difference. Well, nough said. Have a good day.

I don't know how many that read this may know of "Singing In the Pines" but it is a Gospel Campmeeting Open Sing Held the third weekend of June each year at the Union campground in New Haven, WV. Anyone can sing, there is no entry free and it is open to the public. Entrants draw times at 5pm on Friday, noon on Saturday. The singing lasts as long as there are singers. This is not a pressured competition,or a time to show off, it is just folks who love the Lord and want to praise HIM in song. I wish to thank all who made this gathering possible again this year as it takes a lot of work and prayer. If interested, please mark your calender for the 3rd weekend in June next year for "Singing In the Pines" at New Haven,WV. Get off I77 at Ripley from Chas, turn left and follow the signs to the Pines. Bring the whole family and get Blessed.

Yes I believe there is a God.Most religions have a God.It's when the Bible thumpers do eratical and unlogical things in the name of Christianity that I have a problem with.Like aligning yourself with a certain political party because you think they are more moral.Keep religion out of politics please. Also, could you stop pursuing this holy war and armageddon with the muslims. The problem most of you have is you think a person who questions some of the stories or accuracy of the bible,is not a believer in God.Some of you so called Christians need to be more tolerable.

Amen, the truth is that people like those who talk down to Christians is that they're in need of Jesus. They constantly don't have peace and show their hatred and anger easily. The empty feeling inside can only be quenched by having Christ in their life. There's plenty of things to fill the empty void i.e. money, drugs, alcohol, bar hopping etc. But this will only fill for a while and then you're left thirsting again constantly searching. Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

I usually just read the comments on here. But I think I need to say something. I am not a "bible thumper", I dont get to go to church every Sunday. But I know that God exists. I know that when I die, God has prepared a place for me in Heaven. How do I know??? You can feel him when hes in your life. I have peace of mind that God will take care of everything. Some of you ask why God lets things happen...Its not him, its Satan. He lives too. I wish that everyone could know Jesus like I do. I couldnt get through my life without him. He helps me through everything. And yes he is an awesome God. One day you will wish that you listened to the Christians. But it will be too late. How do you get through things without him. How do you think you had such beautiful children? For me and my family We will serve the Lord. I pray that God will show the non believers that he is still here and working miracles everyday!!! God Bless you all!!!

I feel sorry for you and others like you. You are missing out on so much that us "Bible thumpers" have. I may not have many material things, but I have a peace that passes understanding. I know my God will help me through anything, and He is an awesome God. I would love to introduce you to Him. I can't imagine going through life without Him.
