EDNA, Texas (WSAZ) -- Ironton, Ohio, resident Lissa McCrary-Pinkerton was on the run Friday from Hurricane Ike.

Pinkerton went to the Galveston, Texas, area for a relative’s birthday party before being forced to evacuate about 40 miles inland to a town called Edna, which is located about 100 miles north of Corpus Christi, Texas. Pinkerton is originally from Texas and has lived in Ironton for the past 14 years.

She talked about hers and her family's struggles to get away from Hurricane Ike and shared a few photos she has taken.
