PIKEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Heavy rain has again triggered flash flooding in eastern Kentucky.

There were rescues in Pike County on Thursday and roads were closed after water rose out of several streams. No injuries were reported.

The Appalachian New-Express in Pikeville quoted the National Weather Service in reporting up to 4 inches of rainfall locally on Thursday.

Pike County Emergency Manager Bud Tackett said a mobile home was pushed from its foundation by high water and the Millard Fire Department was called out to rescue people stranded by the flooding.

The same area had been flooded by storms on May 9.

Pikeville City Manager Donovan Blackburn told the newspaper there was no major damage inside the city from either of two storm systems that moved through on Thursday.
