ORIGINAL STORY
LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The National Weather Service is investigating whether a tornado actually touched down in Lewis County Tuesday night.

Late Tuesday night, the National Weather Service issued a warning for Lewis County, Kentucky, after witnesses say a tornado touched down in the Tollesboro area.

The storm damaged homes and buildings. It was so strong that some mobile homes were knocked from their foundations.

One man and his son just moved to the area, and he says it was a pretty frightening experience.

"At first there was just a lot of lightning and thunder, and we started hearing whistling, and it just got louder and louder, and all hell started breaking loose," said Billy Burchfield.

Since the 1920's, Country music artists have gotten at least several hundred billion dollars from Kentucky. This profit comes from all music variant sales, from MP3 downloads to radios; it is time for country music to give back to Kentucky. I call upon for the entire country music community to give one day of their profits, to help Kathy and Brian Howe of Big Cabin Kentucky.
