KANAWHA COUNTY, W. Va. (WSAZ) -- High water is causing problems in Kanawha County Tuesday morning.
High water has been reported in the 5200-block of Doc Bailey Road between Speedway and the Post Office in Cross Lanes.
Kanawha County Dispatch tells WSAZ.com six to eight inches of water has been reported at 150 Pinch Rd. in a blind curve, while the east bound lane of McCorkle Ave., in South Charleston, is covered in water at the 3100-block.
High water has also been reported at the intersection of Greenbrier St. and Airport Rd.
A caution advisory for motorists using those roadways has been issued by the Emergency Management Office.
Meanwhile, the 1000-block of Smith Creek Road just outside South Charleston city limits is closed.
Emergency crews at the scene tell WSAZ.com there are trees down on the road and in to some power lines.
Crews believe the trees fell because the ground is so soft from all the rain.
Smith Creek Road is expected to be closed until at least 1 p.m. Tuesday.

I know it always gets real bad right there at the old cable company and it was up there again this morning. Not a blind curve but still hard to see in the dark.
My mistake. After looking at the exact location, the area that I was talking about is about 300 ft south of Indian Lake in another blind curve. Water running accross the road every time it rains. Will be ice accross the road soon. WVDOH needs to remove improperly installed drainage on their R/W for the safety of the public.
The water that runs accross the road in Pinch is due to an improperly installed driveway pipe on DOH Right of Way. It would be nice to know if there is an existing encroachment permit and what the permit says was supposed to be installed. Very dangerous situation.School bus wrecked in the same location last year.
