CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Metro 911 is reporting hazardous driving conditions due to black ice.

Motorists are advised to use extreme caution.

A pickup truck overturned at the entrance ramp of I-64 in Institute.

A Metro 911 dispatcher told WSAZ.com that the crash happened at 5:44 a.m. Monday and was a result of black ice.

The driver was trapped inside the truck for a short while until emergency crews could get the person out.

No word yet on the driver's condition.

The crash didn't affect traffic on I-64.

Any roads where water has puddled or runs across the road has frozen overnight creating very slick conditions.

Drivers are urged to take their time and allow extra travel time this morning.
