Charleston EMS Team Headed to New Jersey to Offer Storm Aid

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- More than a dozen first responders are on their way to New Jersey to help as Hurricane Sandy gains strength as it swirls up the East Coast.

Mike Jarrett with Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority tells 13 people in five ambulances left the Kanawha Valley at 3 a.m. Monday.

This "FEMA Strike Team" will help the EMS system in New Jersey through the storm.
