One dead in motorcycle accident

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - One person was killed after a motorcycle accident.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. Monday on US Route 60 in the Lookout area.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, responders found a motorcycle that had lost control and hit an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle, William Wilson, 56, of Meadow Bridge, was killed, deputies say.

The occupants in the vehicle were taken to the hospital and released.

Route 60 was closed so officials could investigate but has since reopened.

West Virginia State Police also assisted.
