Fire damages home in Kanawha County

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Fire damaged a home Tuesday evening in the Blue Creek area of Kanawha County.

Firefighters say the blaze caused extensive damage to two back bedrooms where it started.

The fire happened near Elk Estates along Blue Creek Road. That road was temporarily closed as firefighters battled the fire.

Crews contained the fire to the back of the home where it started. No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.
