WVU wins Liberty Bowl
MEMPHIS, Tn. (WSAZ) - Better late than never for WVU redshirt senior Austin Kendall. He lost his starting job at the beginning of the year but finished strong as he threw 2 touchdowns to help the Mountaineers beat Army 24-21 in the Liberty Bowl.
In the first half, starting quarterback Jarret Doege threw for 159 yards to go with a score and interception but WVU trailed 14-10. Kendall came in after the break and tossed those two touchdowns while the defense held the Black Knights 100 yards below their rushing average.
WVU finishes 2020 with a 6-4 record.
