Herd comes back from 17 point deficit

RUSTON, La. (WSAZ) - The Marshall Thundering Herd gets a split down in Ruston, Louisiana as they won game two Saturday evening by a final of 80-73. The win improves the Herd to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in Conference USA play. 5 Marshall players scored in double figures in the win as they trailed by 17 points with 16:40 left in the game.

Taevion Kinsey led Marshall in scoring with 20 points with Mikel Beyers adding 17, Andy Taylor and Jarrod West scored 13 while Goran Miladinovic had 10. Marshall shot 44% from the floor, grabbed 39 team rebounds and committed just 11 turnovers.

The Herd hosts Charlotte this coming weekend with games on Friday January 8th and Saturday January 9th.
