Kentucky 2-year-old expected to survive self-inflicted gunshot wound

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WVLT/WAVE) - A two-year-old girl is expected to survive from a shooting accident in Louisville, Kentucky.

WAVE reported that calls reporting a shooting came into the police department around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police arrived on the scene and found a two-year-old girl had been shot. She was transported to an area hospital where she is expected to recover.

Officials said the wound appears to be self-inflicted based on the preliminary investigation.
