COVID-19 vaccine website takes off in W.Va.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - If you’re having trouble locking down an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine, you’re not alone.
In order to help West Virginians and take some strain off of local health departments, state health officials launched a pre- registration website.
It allows members of all age groups to pre-register for the vaccine, giving individuals real-time updates and correspondence on the vaccine rollout in West Virginia. To pre-register tap here from our website.
It will take you directly to the DHHR website.
Afterward, click sign up and fill out your personal information after creating an account. Once the process is finished, the system will allow you to see a summary of your information.
DHHR officials say you should receive a confirmation email 24 hours after you complete this process. If you do not have access to the internet, call the COVID-19 vaccine hotline at 833-734 0965. DHHR officials say they are assisting those 65 and up via the vaccine hotline. Others are strongly encouraged to use the online system.
