House under renovation catches fire
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A house in the process of a renovation caught fire Tuesday morning.
The house in the 2500 block of Woodland Ave. SW in South Charleston caught fire around 6:15 a.m.
South Charleston Fire Chief Virgil White told WSAZ that the fire started in the back of the house and was making it’s way toward the front when firefighters arrived on scene.
Firefighters were quickly able to knock down the fire.
Chief White said the homeowners were in the process of remodeling the home.
He said there is heavy damage in the rear of the house.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been released.
