TUSCALOOSA, Al. (WSAZ) - It was much closer two weeks later between Kentucky and Alabama but the result was still a loss for the Cats. UK lost by a final of 70-59 and are now 5-10 this season overall and 4-4 in the SEC. Back on January 12th, Alabama crushed UK at Rupp Arena by 20 points.

The game was tied at 54 with 3:32 to go but were outscored by the Tide 16-5 the remainder of the game.

Olivier Sarr, Davion Mintz and Dontaie Allen each scored 12 for Kentucky while Jaden Shackelford led Alabama with 21 points as they have won 10 straight games.

The schedule does not get easier for Kentucky as they host #5 Texas Saturday evening then go to #12 Missouri on Groundhog Day.
