UPDATE | Road closed after trees, electric lines down in eastern Kanawha County

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A road is closed after a tree and power lines fell early Friday morning.

It happened just before 7 in West Side near St. Albans.

The 11000 block of Coal River Rd. is closed because of trees and power lines in the road.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- MacCorkle Avenue SE at Beechwood Run in the community of Pratt is closed because of a tree that fell across the road.

Not far there on MacCorkle Avenue SE at Second Avenue in Handley is closed in the large curve there is an accident. A tree is also down in the road.

Both of the incidents were reported by Metro 911 late Thursday evening and into early Friday morning.

There is no word on how long the road will be closed.
