RIPLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - WSAZ’s Brendan Tierney does a quick report inside a church severely damaged by flood waters Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Ripley Pentecostal Church was damaged by high water not once but twice this week.

The pastor tells WSAZ reporter Brendan Tierney that only a couple inches of water were reported inside the building following storms Wednesday night, but that quickly turned into four to five feet of water after heavy rain Thursday evening.

High water knocked over chairs, ripped speakers off walls and left the flood covered in mud.

The pastor tells Brendan a door frame from the building is currently missing.

This is a developing story.
