UPDATE 6/22/21 @ 9:34 a.m.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man was taken to the hospital after a stabbing.

Huntington Police say they were called to the 1700 block of Artisan Avenue around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers say a neighbor said the victim had been taken to the hospital about 30 minutes earlier.

Police went to the hospital to interview the victim. They say Jerry J. Brandon, 47, of Huntington, had received multiple non-life-threatening lacerations.

Brandon told police he was familiar with the suspect and had no idea what caused the attack.

The incident is under investigation.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - One person was taken to the hospital after a stabbing in Huntington overnight.

Cabell County Dispatchers say it happened around 12:30 Tuesday morning in the 1700 block of Artisan Ave.

There is no word on the victim’s condition.

Huntington Police are on scene investigating.
