West Virginia receives federal funding for June flooding

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - President Donald Trump granted West Virginia with federal funding following severe tornadoes and deadly flash flooding last month, according to West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey.

In a Facebook post, Governor Morrisey said President Trump gave the state $11.7 million to help the state recover from the incidents in June.

“Thank you Mr. President for looking out for West Virginia and helping our people who are in such need of assistance,” Governor Morrisey said. “Also grateful for the good work of our federal delegation. We are appreciative.”
