Garrett Wymer is a special projects reporter and weekend evening anchor.
He joined the WKYT News team in September 2014 as a multimedia journalist.
Garrett was named the state's Best Multimedia Reporter for 2016 in the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters awards competition.
Before working at WKYT, Garrett was a multimedia journalist at sister station WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Va.
He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2013, where he double majored in journalism and political science.
Garrett lives in Lexington with his wife, Amy, and two dogs, Walter and Oliver.
