UPDATE: Driver's name released in Sissonville fatal accident

UPDATE 2/23/16 @ 8:45 a.m.

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A South Charleston man died in a crash in Sissonville Monday night.

The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. near Colindale Circle and Rocky Fork Road.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's office says James William Mundy, 53, of South Charleston, was driving south on Rocky Fork Road, when his vehicle and another vehicle hit head on.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital. No word on their names or injuries.

No word on what caused the crash at this time.

The road was shut down for several hours while crews worked to clean up the crash scene.

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Rocky Fork Road is reopen after a fatal crash earlier Monday night, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

One person died in the head-on collision, and two others were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near Colindale Circle and Rocky Fork Road in Sissonville.

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One driver has died and two others were taken to the hospital Monday evening after a head-on collision.

Metro 911 says it happened around 7:30 p.m. near Colindale Circle and Rocky Fork Road in Sissonville.

Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies say Rocky Fork Road is shut down at this time.

The two people hurt suffered non-life-threatening injuries, deputies say.

Sissonville Fire and EMS are also on the scene.

No other details are available at this time.

Rocky Fork Road remained closed as of 11:30 p.m.
