SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a social media threat made Wednesday toward Clay Schools in Portsmouth, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office says.

That boy was arrested and charged with one count of inducing panic and making a terroristic threat, both of which are felonies.

Sheriff Mary Donini says the threat was posted on social media. It stated “If you go to Clay School in Portsmouth Ohio don’t go school on 2-14-19 cause imma pull up with a 12 gauge shotgun and assault rifle thanks.”

The Instagram account “annoymus47” where the post was made was traced to the boy who was arrested.

That youth was taken to the Ross County Juvenile Detention Center. He is set to appear Thursday in juvenile court.
