BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 4/11/19 @ 7:30 p.m.
Two fires on the same road in Boone County have raised suspicion that they may not have been accidents.

Danville Fire Chief Justin Chafin says the fires happened within eight days of each other, the most recent being Tuesday afternoon.

They both occurred in the late afternoon and evening hours, and Chafin says they started on the front door area in both homes.

Chafin reported the fire to the West Virginia State Fire Marshals Office after the second one occurred.

Fire marshals were there earlier Thursday investigating the scene.

They say the investigation is ongoing, but anyone with information is asked to call Danville Fire Chief Justin Chafin at 304-369-0232.
