UPDATE: Charleston Police working to identify man who robbed 7-11 at gunpoint

UPDATE 4/17/18 @ 9:30 a.m.

A man is wanted for robbing the 7-Eleven along MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City Tuesday morning.

The robbery happened around 3:40 a.m. at the convenience store.

Charleston Police say a man walked into the convenience store, held up a gun to the clerk and demanded cash.

There is no word on how much the man was able to get away with.

After the robbery, the man took off.

He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask.

A search is underway for a person who robbed a gas station in Charleston at gunpoint.

The robbery happened just before 4 a.m. Tuesday at the 7-Eleven along MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City.

Charleston Police say the clerk told them that the person showed a gun and demanded cash.

No arrests have been made.

Police are currently searching the area to find the person.
